Art element comes when you think ahead after cargo is fixed where the ship will be open and what you load after? Which port ship takes fuel? Which route you choose? Which cargo is weather sensitive? Do you need a preloading survey in compliance with P&I insurance policy? Have you checked port costs and restrictions and tides properly? Are your Charterers reliable? What is stowage factor of the cargo? Is stability sufficient? Can crew clean the hold fast afterwards by own means? Always remember golden rule: Check before fixing.
